Default Whew, hot enough for you outside?!?!

Wow... Here it is, 1:48pm on 6/29/12 and in Richmond, VA both the TV weather/news channel and my Weatherbug PC icon are saying 103° F outside right now!!!

When I left work (I work part-time M-F, 8:30am - 12:30pm) this afternoon, I rode my Aero 750 without a jacket or gloves or a face shield, because I knew it was going to be a scorcher outside!!

I got hit up by two back-to-back traffic lights on the way home, and thought I was going to die... Man, it was like being in an oven!!

How hot is it where you are?

101 in central indiana yesterday. I'm going to Haiti next month, so I've been watching their weather, and we are hotter than they are.

I'm not too far north of you.. It's "only" 97 here right now, but with 49% humidity that's a heat index of 109... I'm going to see if the jacket fits in the saddle bags for the ride home!

So the heat index got me wondering if places with lower humidity even have a heat index. I never thought of it before - but it looks like Las Vegas' heat index is currently 5 degrees below the actual temperature. Must be nice!
