Default bloody knuckles

every time i work on something i seem to end up with blood everywhere and i know the same is true for a lot of other people so i wanna hear your stories

heres mine

was installing my new Cobra lightbar and everything was going smooth, slow but smooth then i ran into a problem this 1 bolt just did not want to move i tried everything and it just wouldnt budge

as the rage started taking hold i grabbed the wrench and pulled with all my might, ofcourse i smashed my thumb on something and the blood was flowing but the bolt came loose so i felt no pain only a sense of accomplishment so happy that dam bold finally moved

after i finished i looked at the bike and there was blood all over so i had the joy of washing it all off lol

only thing left to do is go for a ride and maybe get a tetanus shot lol

A hammer struck Impact Driver helps to avoid this.Motorcycles are Notorious for seizing bolts as steel into Aluminum isnt a good match.

I bet, that you don't get bloody, now, wasn't the case 25 years ago, though.
I have worked on my own stuff all my life, well the last 40 years of it. I am NOT a mechanic by trade, only necesity. So yeah, if there is a sharp edge, or a way to get pinched and bloody... I will find it.

This is when it's time to take a five minute break, get a drink, go back and re-assess whats going on.

+1. It's probably rare when we're working on our bike, car, plumbing, house, whatever that we don't have the thought, before it happens, that "if I keep doing this I'm gonna ..." insert your bust-your-ass story here. A five minute break with approach reassessment goes a long way.

I'd skip the viral injection and just pack the cuts with fresh grease and go for that ride.

Anybody that turns wrenches regularly, especially for a living, gets bloody on occasion. It happens less as you get experienced, but it still happens. I've needed stitches many times from not using enough care with various tools, machines, and equipment. As long as noboby loses a body part, it's usually not worth mentioning.
