"It has this thing called a kickstarter
I get on the seat and raise my leg in the air it has this thing called a kickstarter I kick and kick but go nowhere" Yes, sir, my man. 'Member the dayz of kickstarters? I'll bet'cha there's a few young whipper-snappers on this here forum that wouldn't know what that is/was. But I'll tell ya, if that monster of a bike (be it a Harley or otherwise) didn't wanna start you were in for a serious workout -- not to mention a broken foot from the 'blowback'. Jeez, makes me shudder just thinkin' about it. Thanks for the memory -- CD.

Well, I didn't have a big bike with kickstarter to toss me over the bars, but reading that paragraph brought a sudden, slapping pain to my calves with the memory of slipping and getting a hard slap a few times with the return. First bike had the kick on the left and the shifter on the right, and the second was more conventional, with left side kick and right side shift.
Excuse me while I limp off to bed with those fond memories.
