I decided to take my windshield off, just to see how I'd like it. Man my bike looks like a different bike without it. I must say the riding it without the windshield seems much more enjoyable too. I can't believe what I was missing. I love the extra wind blowing against me on the back roads, it just seems like this is how someone should ride. The biggest thing I miss not having the windshield is when I get on the interstate and get my speed up to 80-85, boy it makes a difference. At that speed with windshield on, I don't notice the wind resistance much, but without the windshield, and with a full face helmet on, the wind trys to turn my head and push me back. I have to fight will riding at that speed. So in conclusion, I love riding the back roads without the windshield it is awesome, but once on the interstate, I prefer a windshield to make my ride enjoyable.
What's your all thoughts on a windshield or no windshield and your experience.

I always have my windshield on. But I ride out on the interstate a lot. I also ride at night when all the bugs are out. It helps keep then from going splat on my face.

If I tooled around mostly, I might enjoy the shield off. At 50mph and under it can be rather enjoyable. However, I spend a lot of time at much higher speeds on the daily commute and it is essential for comfort and not getting buffeted there. Also, I just have to look at the many splats, large and small, and hear the things that go "Whack!" off my full face helmet top and sides to remind me of another thing I like about it. Though with the shield on I can get away with leaving the FF shield up more than I should do.
At highway speeds the chest slapping of the wind is bothersome enough that I always use my shield. Nice thing with the N/C Switchblade series though. Anytime I want to go nekkid in front I can just pop off the shield and pop it back on later.

I have never had a windshield until now. Here is a b4 and after. On the freeway,, I love the shield, when the weather gets hot here in Texas, it's way hotter than without. I have mixed emotions about it but on long rides,, I will put it on every time.

eh, it's just another ride you own ride thing, I actually had some fellow riders astounded that I was tooling around with them with no shield ( and no helmet ) in around 40 degree temps once. I have had both and both have their strengths and weaknesses , I prefer no shield, but either the Sabre will eventually have a Memphis Shades batwing or I will eventually have an Electra Glide, so eventually ( I like that word ) I will have shield ( I think fairings without shields look stupid myself )

I use and will always use a windshield. Plus a face shield.
I have had way too many stones and bugs ping off the windshield. I do not want them bouncing off my face or body if it can be prevented.

I've had bikes with and without. I'm a slave to fashion, and some look good with and some look good without. I don't have one currently. They are handy in cold temps, bug infested nights and to keep the blast to a minimum when you are booking along at speed. But I think my current ride looks better sans a windshield.
