Default Mustang seat or Driver's back rest?

Was wondering what some of your guys opinions about this topic. Which one would you buy for the sake of comfort? Thanks in advance.

I just got my Mustang seat about 6 weeks ago. It is better than the stock but not the comfort I was expecting after the reviews I read. I am 6'3" and the seat moved me about 2 inches forward, giving me that, "oh crap my knee is caught between the tank and grip", feeling when I do slow speed manuevers. If I had to do it again, I would sent the passenger seat out to be re-worked and got myself a backrest.

If you don't ride 2 up often check these out, at least they're useful instead of just a back rest.

Thanks for the input, I think I am going to send my seat out to get the Spencer seat mod done to it and have him put a back rest on it.

If I had to pick only one, I would certainly go for the backrest. I bought a Mustang with a backrest, best of both worlds.

I started with just the backrest (world of difference) later I went with the Saddleman with backrest. Great improvement in comfort over the stock seat.

My bike came with a mustang seat so I can't say how a stock seat is. Mustang says the passenger seat is forward enough to give the driver a back rest. So not true. I ended up getting a backrest from protac. I need to modify it a bit but works very well for back support.

I love my Mustang seat, and it comes in two pieces so I could install it as a solo seat or (as in my picture) install it with the passenger seat. I would have purchased the Mustang seat with the driver's backrest but the price was out of my budget. The Mustang seat, even without the driver's backrest does provide more back support than the stock seat and I have definitely noticed the difference on short and long rides. I wish Mustang seats had the option of adding the backrest at a later date because it sure does look comfortable. I did purchase the matching Mustang backrest pad for the sissy bar which adds a nice touch.

I just put a mustang seat on my VLX, and I love the back support. No additional backrest, just the passenger seat pushing forward a bit. I'm a smaller guy, so it is just what I needed to get a little support for my lower back.
