I run my Shadow Spirit 750 about 65-70mph the majority of my rides with a little in town stuff. I'm getting anywhere from 42-46mpg as far as I can tell.
The past 2 tanks I've filled up with 87octane No Ethanol from 2 different no name stations. I couldn't tell a difference. I wish there was a quick test to see if it was actually ethanol free and not just some shady guy charging a few cents more for the same 10%crap. |

on my 07 shadow aero bobber with v&H straight shots with my cut baffles, stage two jets, custom intake, and the epa junk removed im averaging 150 miles on a tank so low to mid 50's. accord to fuel log my worst tank lately is 47mpg and i run like a bat out of hell in the city trying to avoid cars at all possiblities and getting the hell out of the way. on the interstate cruising 80 i average 45mpg's so about 120-130 miles before i need to switch to reserve. i generally run till i hit reserve. do the math real quick and get to the nearest pump for a fill up. have yet to come close to emptying the tank dry

I've only checked mileage running the 2-lane roads/highways with speed limits of 35-55 mph, usually running 5-10 over that, and I've been getting between 50-55 mpg. After a little experimentation I've found that she runs best on 87 octane.

I haven't had my 2012 Phantom for long, and have actually only purchased 3 tanks of gas. Getting between 50 and 53 mpg. Don't know just how far a full tank will get me as I usually get fuel at about 150 mile intervals. I don't like to cut it too close.

Lazarus clocks right around 50 MpG on 87 octane for freeways, and in the neighborhood of 36 for around town stuff. No reserve, so I just fill up when the ridiculously pessimistic gauge starts huggin "E", which is usually means less that 3 gals. to refill the tank
