...to a tank? I think I'm averaging about 40MPG and noticing about 150 miles to a tank. When I fill up I try to fill it up just under the cap. I'm literally hyper-mile filling the tank. Also what grade of gas do you all use? 87 or 93? Full tank runs be about $13. This was one of the reason's I bought the bike is because I spend no less than $250 a month on gas for work. My company vehicle averages about 25MPG (2005 Toyota Rav4). Can't wait to swap my Ruckus because I will ride that over the local bridges as long as I can do 55MPH.

In and around the town, I average around mid 40s. On the highway it goes up to low 50s MPG. I usually use mid grade gas (89 octane) to fill up the bike. I round the numbers so I don't have an exact MPG but a pretty close estimate.

Timely topic for me...
Out of curiosity, I just started checking the MPG on my VLX this last week. Up until now, I've been happy enough knowing that it was just better than my car. It looks like I'm about 64+ MPG on my 60 mile round-trip commute. Mostly, but not all, interstate. I'm not sure what the off-highway MPG is yet. When I'm out traveling, I've taken to topping off about every 80 miles or so, mostly because I worry about running out of gas out in the sticks. I've never run the tank low enough to switch to reserve yet, so I don't know what my range really is. But during a group ride to Rolling Thunder this year, along with other riders who all had bigger tanks than I had, I found that I was able to run up at least 120 highway miles, the longest leg they took before gassing up, and I still didn't have to switch to reserve. I'm still not sure of the total range, but I feel pretty good about that.

2007 ss750, cobra streetrods, dynojet stage II, stock air filter, snorkel removed
= 50mpg, 186miles/tank.

I've been monitoring my MPG using "Driver Diary" since I bought my VT700 back in January.... Now, I use it to keep track of all my vehicle's mileage, maintenance, and expenses
'85 Shadow VT700C: 50-52mpg highway 42-45mpg in stop-and-go city driving Range on main tank varies from 110-140 miles before the idiot light comes on. '02 Sabre VT1100C2: 47mpg Highway (only one run so far) 40mpg in stop-and-go city driving Range to reserve... no clue (yet), but I expect to see at least 140 before reserve if I'm running highway miles. I just put in new plugs and air-filter, which should bump me up a couple mpg.... My son's '99 CB750 NightHawk: (only had it a week) 45-48mpg commuting (mostly 45-55mph speeds) PO said he never got less than 45mpg since it was brand-new. All of our bikes get 87 octane and fill up with non-ethanol when we can!

IDK.... I don't and never have ridden bikes for MPGs, Don't really care ,normally stop every 90-110 miles for gas. I ride a bike, because it is NOT a cage.
I think I average about 35mpg. Five years a ago I did do, the Gas station in Yosemite to the house, 152 miles.... Reserve last 50 miles, it seemed.... Don't remember how much gas I put back in. It did stall at the pump, when I went to fill up, the next morning... That day I was tired, so I decided to see how far I could get.. Started that morning in Reno.
