ok sounds good. I'm excited to black out a few things. what colour is the paint you have? is there a shiny black and/or a flat black? and are you polishing it after you paint? if so with what?

i just want to match the paint of the rest of the bike the best i can.

I'm using Krylon Fusion for plastic. Its gloss black. I'm hand polishing the parts with a maguiers fine polish and then a wax. It matches the factory paint fairly well.
Big thing is take your time and don't rush.

Continued painting parts today. Speedo bezel, Valve cover chrome, and Swing arm caps.
Also while I had everything off I adjusted the needle setting and changed the main jet. And cleaned and regaped the plugs.

Here are pics of the now drying parts.
