Wanted to find out what others do when they installed aftermarket bars. The switch houses on either side have a tab the fits in a hole on the oem bars. Are you guys grinding that tab off or drilling a hole in your new bars. I ground the tab off on my last project but wasn't sure if that was the common approach.

I have ground off the tabs on several bikes when changing to aftermarket bars. The switch housings fit tight enough that they don't need that locating tab/hole. If for some reason they don't just put a wrap of electrical tape under there.

Grinding off the tabs seem easier and that's what I've done but I'm gonna be doing it for a 3rd time I thought it would be good to see how others handle it. Thx
