for me it just depends. don't have a set temp that determines whether i ride or not.
don't like salt though, leads to rust if you ain't careful.

Mid 40's, my left hand gets ice cold even in warmer temps, so 42* at 70 mph and I'm hurting for certain. But here in TN, I can usuallty drive 9 - 10 months out of the year.

It doesn't get that cold in Phoenix. I haven't even taken out the gauntlets and balaclava yet.
I will call a rain day however. The "new in April 2012" Shinko on the rear has zero braking traction on even a slightly wet road.

I ride down to 15 degrees just not in the snow or ice....The secret is layers I also have HotHands there a cheaper heated grip is to install.

I'll usually leave the bike home if there's a chance of snow or ice, which makes 32F the magic number.
But if it's below freezing and the roads are clear and dry, I'll ride if I'm motivated enough. I've ridden in the low 20's before, but it was around town, not at highway speeds. As I get (got

I've ridden PGR missions in the teens and did a 200+ mile ride in the mid twenties but aside from that, I prefer to keep my riding in the forties and above.
