It was 12* on my ride to work this morn. My commute is only 6 miles. Last Friday, I did about 50 miles in 18* temperatures. But once it snows I am done.
Both my bikes head to the basement then. |

As long as the roads are clear and dry, I ride. I have not ever winterized my bike and put it away. Usually I can get in a couple rides a week throughout the winter. Temps here pretty much stay above 0*F - can't say what I would do if it consistently got colder than that.

I rode to work this morning and is was 34*. I have a freezeout undershirt, insulated overpants, and my Army issue nexl gaiter and Gor-tex boots. They only things that got cold were my hands and feet. I need some electric gloves. I will ride as long as the roads are clean of ice, snow, and salt.

This guy may be a bit extreme....
Winter motorcycle ride (and crash) in a snow storm (Honda Shadow) - YouTube and he's selling the bike... http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/mcy/3444004954.html
