Default Mustang seat - will it work?

I have been looking for a used Mustang wide touring seat. According to Mustang's site, model number 76161 is what I need for my VT750C2. I found a Mustang seat for sale, model 75105, which is listed for a VT750DC. I believe the only difference between the DC and C2 is that one is chain drive while the other is shaft drive. Before I disregard the seat I found, I just wanted to make sure that it won't fit my bike, because I don't see how the difference between chain vs shaft would affect the seat.

If the rear fender is different, the two mounting holes for the driver's seat (and possibly the rear mounting bolt for the passenger seat) might not match. I installed a Mustang seat #76161 on my 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 - shaft drive. You could try contacting Mustang Seats to see what they have to say. Here is a link to their website:

check ronayers.com parts list and see if the Honda part number for the seats are the same, or have the seller of the seat send you a picture of the mounting points on the seat to compare to yours
