Ever since that day about 5 years ago when I put my right glove on FIRST and had a super close call not 15 feet out of the driveway, it feels just wrong NOT to glove up left to right.
i'm not a superstitious guy really at all, but with the inherent risks involved with riding... i guess it can't hurt! what are your pre ride rituals?

+1 Same here- when I leave for work in the A.M. and when I leave the shop headed home for the day. ALWAYS. That and I message my wife and tell her I love her and I WILL NOT LEAVE until I see that she has read it and I get her reply and open it. Would hate for her to think I never saw it. We have some of the most terrible cagers in the world here I believe. The city I work in is where the heart of 'Meth Mountain' is on Sand Mountain in Albertville, AL, so you could just imagine how many tweekers and other idiots we have to worry about when the whistle blows in the evening to leave.

. My pre-ride ritual is turn the key in, push the button..... go....In all honesty if I thought I had to say my "last anythings" every time I threw a leg over I would sell the bike. I am all for praying, but not for "safe riding" but for my wife's safety and health in general. I am not worried about riding at all. I have always felt I am in control of my destiny on my bike. If I thought or worse experienced, otherwise on a day to day basis, riding on two would not be worth the risk.

It's bad luck to be superstitious.

Aside from giving the bike a once over, ^this. It's two part - (1) to the higher power for assistance and guidance, and (2) to myself for following through. I also pat the tank twice with my right hand before kicking up the stand ... it's a horse thing. Never really noticed it until this thread brought it up.
