Once the dog gets off of me I'll ruin into the other room to get a brand name, i just got a pair with thinsalate. They are gauntlets, wind and water proof. So far at 30 deg my hands are Nice and toasty. Now i can't say the same for my forehead.

Ill tell you that I asked the same question and for me there was no answer. I spent a lot of money on gloves over several years and my hands were always the limiting factor for me to ride comfortably. I finally spent the money on a pair of electric gloves, problem solved and if I had done it ealrier I would have saved a bunch of money. I can say that it is the best moeny I have spent when the temps dip into the low 40's all the way down into the teens.

My daily commute is 100 miles round trip. An hour each way. $200 Gerbing electrics were the best money I could have spent.

Once you get used to them they are fine.
Being in the South a pair of snowmobile mittens was not the first thing that came to mind, but one day I wondered what the snowmobile riders wore. These are great without the expense or complexity of electrics.

Here's where I got the idea about the mittens actually...

1960s British Motorcycle Safety Film "Look, Signal, Manoeuvre"

This shows the mittens real well...

Look, Signal, Manoeuvre - YouTube

The whole film is actually very entertaining...

Hard for me to say the electric gloves were better than the electric vest -- but I got them both at the same time. I use the vest a LOT more, probably more than I really need to do. But when I need the electric gloves there is NO QUESTION about it.

If I were buying today, I'd get Gerbing's heated jacket liner and gloves. Probably will when the motorcycle show comes to town in January. The only question is, I guess, whether or not I sell the Widder vest and gloves first.

Looks like some good options to check into. I imagine that heated gloves would be the no-brainer fix, but I'm just not financially ready to take that plunge if I don't have to. Mittens huh, no I can honestly say I didn't consider that. But if they work.... Its funny that was mentioned, my wife said shed be glad to go get me some nice pink mittens with bunny faces on them. What a partner.
I have some good options to look at now, thanks guys for saving me from the killer bunnies!!

My son and I wear these if temps are in the 40-55 deg range:

Xelement Men's Black Tri-Tex Fabric padded/Waterproof Gloves - $20 plus shipping

They are not the best, and not 100% waterproof, but they do the job of cutting wind-chill (windproof), and I've been able to run 45-min without losing feeling in my fingers in upper-30's temps with these gloves.

For when its really cold, I like my snowmobile gloves... bought them from Sportsman's Guide for <$30 (Guide Gear brand). They are windproof, heavy Thinsulate, and supposedly waterproof (not tested that yet). I can't wear them if the temps are above 45.. they're just too warm and make my hands sweat.
