stock seat, sell or cut

I just recenlty bought a 01 sabre and it came with an amazing mustang seat. this being my first bike ive dont think i truly appreciate the mustang seat but after 2000 miles ive never even noticed what some call butt sore. so my question is id like a solo seat and since i have the stock one should i sell it or should i cut it down and have it professionally stitched into a solo?
has anyone done this? if i sell it how much can i get?
also it crossed my mind to try and remove the rear portion of the mustang but id hate to ruin such a comfortable seat.

Thanks for the response. The only reason I want to cut is because I doubt I can find a solo seat for under 200

I agree don't cut it, just stay on ebay. Now is a good time to load up for winter projects and a good time to find good deals

used stock seats don't really go for much, had mine sitting around for a while, and have offered it up. maybe 20-50 bucks.

since i wont get much i really want to cut it up but i was hoping someone has done this and could shed some light on whether it was worth it or if they just ended up getting a real solo seat
