My mama told me to "sit up straight". I love the standard riding position. Glad to see another hit the market. My RS is a great little bike, but saddle was a killer on distance rides, so I had it reworked. I think the 1100 will do well.

I'd take standard seating over a cruiser on a long trip any time. Maybe you're a young guy with a strong back. 30 miles on a cruiser and I'm done. I can ride all day on a bike with standard seating.

If it would be around 6k it would be an absolute winner!
The Rebel and CBR 250 go for $4200. How is an 1100cc bike coming in at 6K?

More info on that glorious CB1100.
The Honda CB1100 Hits U.S. Showrooms in March, 2013 - Popular Mechanics

Standard Riding Position? Check.
Fuel Injection? Check.
Powerhouse Engine? Inline 4! Looking good.
Affordable? 10k not terrible.

The only thing is the air/oil cooled engine. Makes me doubtful it's going to put up significant 1/4 mile and 0-60 numbers.

One step closer to a middle weight V4 super bike though!

The Honda display at the Int Motorcycle Show in DFW last weekend did not include one of these. Too bad. Would love to ride one.

We trudge on.

Agreed. To each their own I guess. It looks to much like a Bonneville, but I bet it would beat the pants off my 1100.

Let's see. Bonneville

CB1100

Both are standard? That's about it. Different pipes, engine, seat, tank, etc.
