Might get me back on a Honda... depends on the ride. The Goose is just about perfect, and I picked it because it's really a standard. For me, standards are the best bikes overall. Reading the reviews, the CB1100 is tuned for flat torque rather than HP, but 85 HP is still pretty good.

85 hp is pretty wimpy for an inline four 1100 cc bike these days but it does seem that Honda look for reliability rather than performance as has been their mantra for decades. I'll pass on the new CB especially with those comical looking "clone" 70's Comstar rims. If I wanted to buy a power bike/ tourer it wouldn't be on my short list. But this might be

Now why in the heck did Honda have to do this?
I am thinking a "slightly" used Phantom is going to get sold here in Wisconsin next spring. Just how the hell do I resist this? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() this bike will make 100 RWHP with a chip and a pipe easy peasy

I had to let go of my 00' Kaw ZR7 back in 09' with 75 hp., 525 lbs., oil cooled, 5.2 gallon tank, and a claimed 12.5 quarter mile from the factory and it cost $3000 used. $10000 for a 1100 retro styled pooch? Nah. I do like the looks and its layout etc. but it have to be used (affordable) before I would purchase one. I hope it sells well for Honda.

I really always have liked the bonneville. I like the cb1100 since it was introduced. I have both of these bikes on my short list for the next bike I buy. They have both been taken down a notch since I saw this one.
Diavel Strada 2013 - Ducati Billed to have 161hp out of the box. My death will be glorious.

It's an unfair comparison to try and match a drag bike to a normal standard. Two totally different designs, styles, and purposes in mind. They have about as much in common as a Shadow has with a Schwinn.
:edit: Never mind I just got that you were not comparing and you're just saying it's your next bike. Sorry got lost in CB chat |
