Hi Guys, I am posting this thread for you, who think about upgrading your 1100ACE with new front and rear suspension from PS. There is not so many pictures on internet with this setup, so maybe it will help you to decide to get your new sespension. I like the look of lowered bikes so I decided to go with 2" front lowering kit (item number: 10-1550) and 11" 412 Series rear shocks (412-4247C). It is easy to install, all you need is the right tool. It is absolutely not necessary to disassamble the whole front fork to install the lowering spring. I went with fully 2 inches and there is no problem with bottoming. This setup does improve the ride characteristics and I think the look of the bike is so much better than with stock suspension. So here are the pictures.

Lowering? Not for me!
Progressive Suspension replacement fork springs and 412-series shocks make the bike ride and handle MUCH better, though. (Picture below has the stock shocks.)

i put front progressive springs on my 98 1100 spirit and i liked them so i put the 412 on the rear and in a year they actually broke - like in half!! i like them but they are probably for cafe runs. i live in new mexico and have to ride ruff roads every day from my place. put the stock shocks back on and i am happy.
