The Shinko tires are my favorite. They are a softer compound so they don't last quite as long as some others, but I would rather change them a little more frequently for the extra traction I get from them. They are a much less expensive tire so that helps a bit to offset the shorter lifespan as well.
I looked into them for a while & found them to be well respected by some serious professional riders. Seems they bought the rubber formula from Yokohama, so they are not as no-name as one might think @ first. Highly recommend if you don't mind changing a little more often.

Metz 880s are on my VTX and Shadow Aero. Yes, can be more $ but it's me in the seat. Or maybe my wife so even more so...

Default Wider rear tire

I recommend the General Altimax (195/65-15). I have 31,000 miles on mine and love the ride. Cornering grip is excellent and it sure improves the look of the bike. Be warned; you'll get plenty of lookers with questions!

First, prepare for the shock of having to spend as much on our 2 Shadow tires as you do all 4 of your car tires. And be further astonished that they only last about 10K (vs 40K+ for your car)! It seems to be one of those things that motorcyclists just don't seem to talk about. I also was rather discouraged by looking at how difficult it is to chane the back tire (the exhaust has to come off!) so I decided to never try t myself and to have a dealer or shop do it. One thing that I did find out is that next time I will insist that, when installing, the tire be moved about the wheel to minimize the use of balance weights. Good luck!

Go for the Metzelers! I would not wait too long on the deal that he offered you, it may go away! Shop local and support them, they are the ones that help fallen riders and help YOUR community, Motorcycle Superstore, Rocky Mountain ATV and Dennis Kirk may have good prices, but they dont donate to local charities and beneifits for locals! Develop a relationship with them and they will take care of you! I paid $6 more/Metz than I found ANYWHERE online, and he looks out for me when I need him!

He's charging me $107 for the front and $172 for the rear, and I could not find anything online cheaper than that, so I'll definitely take it in there when my current tires are done.

I don't see a line item on the estimate for tubes or rim flaps, so I'll make sure to ask about that. Thanks.
That's a great local shop!
