Finally got the white walls on. Along with a new chain and sprocket kit. Thing rides like a dream. The bike automatically goes where I want it to. I don't even feel like I am steering it. Kinda like autopilot. I upsized the front tire one size wider. Makes a big diff in handling. It is nice! And there is no need to mention(IMO)on how much better it looks with white walls.

Looks great! I have been thinking about whites myself. So the wider front tire made a huge difference? What size did you put on?

Went with a 140/80/17 on front with slight mod to front fender bracket. I had to grind a little out on the sides to keep it from rubbing. Took it on a test ride and it worked good at all speeds. No rubbing. I had to go with this size b/c there is not a stock size(120/80/17) available.

Looks great. However, wouldn't the rear chain side WW get ugly quickly with a chain drive? I have not had a chain drive in decades, but from what I remember the oil/dirt combo would get all over everything back there. I am not a sparkle junkie so I see things like that as more stuff to keep clean. White walls have to be white to look great.
It reminds me of the old adage. Clean hubcaps and the car looks clean....Dirty hub caps and clean car look filthy, I am a "hubcap cleaner" LOL +1 on the chunky front tire. I will stop up a size next go round as well.

Looks nice with the color of your bike and the spoke wheels, Any new tire will feel better than the one you took off. Report back whe you get about 5000 miles on it.
