As bikers we should do our best to present an appropriate image to the world, so I have taken it upon myself to help you dear reader along with some basic biker grooming tips
HAIR. ( If you are already in the throes of male pattern baldness, or one of the countless who have settled with the low maintenance and mundane buzz cut ..skip this section ) A biker faces two large challenges to hair appearance.. wind and helmets Lets deal with the wind first.. if you have hair of any real length you will face serious entanglements.. some like me, welcome the wild tangled wind blown look.. for us, no further care is usually required, the wind takes care of everything for most daily jaunts into society.. However every now and then a formal kind of event crops up, weddings, divorce hearings.. trail dates.. the usual stuff.. for these occasions I highly recommend the front to back brush through as illustrated masterfully by David Mann. Then there is helmet hair.. Thing about helmet hair is it's victims usually are donning a ( yuck) do. Sorry guys, you styling your hair, then you sharing you panties with the missus. Ok anyway enough of that.. no wait more of it because " men" if you are styling then you need a spray or a gel. Facial hair... if you got it flaunt it! Let that freak beard fly.. oh wait.. if you be styling you like your flavor savers neatly trimmed.... so that is lesson onework on that for now. |

What about showers? A good 60+ mph ride does double, airs out those pits and freshens clothes!

Oh and a bit of biker etiquette.. yes it is all right to dive into the community pizza box with grease stained hands.. be kind and wipe off the excess though, most pizza has enough grease on it's own. |

No tips for us professional males who have to look respectable Mon to Fri? Perhaps a wig and stick on beard for Friday night?

For an all day hold, you could use some chain lube or final drive oil. Imp |

Let's see...
Top hair. I still have hair, but I've taken the easy road and cut it short for years...It'll be even shorter soon as I plan to go for the buzz cut, mostly to avoid helmet hair. Mundane? Maybe. Lazy? Hell yeah! I've gotta be me. Now my question is, If I go back to my old habits, skip straight past the buzz cut, and just shave my dome clean like I used to, would I then be properly groomed for a biker, or just another shade of mundane? Facial hair. Mustache and goatee. It's gonna stay that way for a while, but when I retire, I plan on going more feral. I'm a Civil War buff and those guys knew how to grow a beard! I'm jealous. Am I hopeless, or am I cutting edge and not afraid to take a fashion risk? Oh yeah... Tattoos. I don't have any. Yet. I read somewhere that Asian characters are passe. So that's what I'm gonna get.
