Yeah, its great to see Honda come back out with a liter-class standard. I would have liked to see an aluminum frame and mono-shock rear end along with a water-cooled engine but they're keeping it old school and I can respect that. I wonder how long before people start to cafe them.

I can see the aging Magna fleet being replaced by these. I'm happy the the creature comforts of my Aero though.

I am in line already. 85.3 hp isnt anything to Brag about but it beats 38 anyday.Hell my XR650R has 68

If I had money, I would be all over this. I'd keep my current bike, but this would be a great addition.

With a much less oversquare bore and stroke than contemporary sporting machines (73.5 x 67.2mm), it’s able to tug cleanly from just 2000 rpm and ramps up quite strongly just 1000 revs later. Peak torque of 67.9 ft-lb (factory crankshaft rating) arrives at 5000 rpm, so there’s ample thrust without having to search the tachometer for it. Despite the CB’s modern double-overhead cam and 4-valves-per-cylinder architecture, horsepower crests with a rather modest 85.3 at 7500 revs. Its maximum acceleration feels like about 75 rear-wheel horses

First the RS and now this. Honda is really getting the right idea in design and making absolutely beautiful bikes, but why do they insist on under-powering them? I had 100+ hp aspirations for a new fuel injected v4 but I feel disappointed.

It's still beautiful and it will still haul, but there's so much untapped potential in that engine.

The CB1100 will most definitely be an addition to the garage along with my Shadow. What does everyone think about the price on this? 10k for the non-abs model? Seems comparable to current new Shadow prices.

Checked around a bit and find that the local dealers believe they will start receiving these in their showrooms in mid/late Feburary. They are anxious to have it. We are looking forward to a close inspection. We still remember our first close encounter with the CB750 "four;" and this new bike reminds us of that one.
