Yes, I am planning to mod my recently purchased 98' VT600CD and pretty much liked this set-up. I just wanted to generate some feedback as you guys perfectly did in order to see the pro and cons.

Any of you guys have done a custom rear fender such as in this bike? if yes, how much does it cost? I believe they are kind of pricey and pretty much hard to fit on the bike..

if you look on houstonretrobobbers.com, he used a rear fender on most the bikes. its nothing crazy but its looks really good the way he does his fenders. doesn't look at all hard to do or expensive.

Guys, what kind of fuel tank does this bike has mounted on the pic? That's not the stock one for sure.

Oh wow. Flames. On a bike. Very original. Oh, hey! You know what!? You could add some skulls and maybe a maltese cross or something! I bet no one has EVER seen those either!

Hate the fender. Hate it. Flames are so over done on motorcycles. I like a lot of the other work he's done on that bike. The bars look great. I'm not a fan of springer seats but it works on this bike. The tank really looks good. I believe it's the stock tank that's been stretched to match up to the seat and side covers. Overall, nice bike. But the fender kills it for me.

For me, flames, skulls, and crosses are the equivalent of a motorcycle mullet. I just wish they'd go away and we could all pretend it never happened.

The bike definitely has a theme going on. There are several fender kits you can get for the VLX, just get the longer one and cut it to your desire.

Personally, I like the classier looking bobbers. Houston Retro has some good looking classy bobbers.

Not sure where the tank came from either. I've seen several tanks on these bobbers. The stock tank it kind of plane. I like the stretched out tank on this bike.

Haha, I hate the fender ""Flames" as well. I pretty much like the bobber style of the bike, it also have a over-sized front headlight, looks really cool.
