I dont disagree with anyone joining a club..but i'm the type that wont wear a patch or colors..seen even the good guy's in clubs get pulled over by the police...I have even been pulled over (at gun point) by the police while on my bike...just because of the assumptions of the mototrcycle culture....We just have a bunch of fella's that will ride with anyone who comes along for a great day..JMO...LIVE TO RIDE...

The only group I've ridden with is the local H.O.G. chapter--a member of which got me on my bike to begin with. I'm friends with a number of MC members, none of which pretend to be anything like SOA. (Heck, they're almost all cops.) Their MCs are fraternal, and I've never had much of a desire for that, but for those that do...more power to em.

Wondering if your club has a three-piece patch or something similar. There's an awful lot about clubs that hasn't been discussed. And maybe should be, once again. For most on this forum they aren't a good idea. Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com App

I dont want to start a "Club", Im just trying to get a group started here in my area. Seems like folks talk about how they want to get together and have group rides, but dont like to commit. Oh well guess my wife and I continue to ride by ourselves.

There is a guy in my class that is a member of the US Military Veterans MC...in his words; "They are closer to a 1% club than any of the other "Veteran" MCs, and are a member of the CoC". I like the idea of the brotherhood and camaraderie, but OTOH I would not want to take that much time away from my family as most clubs require.
One of the other guys and I were talking about SoA, and "real" MCs, and he said that every guy that he knew that was in an MC ran afoul of the law at some point, most of them serious infractions, and most ruined their lives. ymmv |

You may want to say where you live so that you could get some help.
If it is Illinois CLUBS.HTM can be of help. If any one knows of some clubs in Northern Illinois I would be happy to hear about them.
