i am realizing why i choose to ride solitary...
who needs it? the attitude i mean. i love to ride and waive but even talking at the coffee stop can be attitude laden. rode for years in oakland and surrounding area. new a few 1%'s. was approached to join once. it was tempting to get the colors and be "one of those" however its like i told my friend who asked me... " i am never going to burn my honda - and i am just not mean enough!" another thing is i am nobodies bitch... there is no way i am going to "prospect"... i am a vn combat vet, so i've paid all the dues i am going to pay. i ride free. i've come across a few 1%'s along the way. we got along and had a laff. even done some crazy road *****. fun. but i am not interested in "the life." its all mystique. steel is real. asphalt is real. sky, wind, the sound of the motor, the lean of a turn... these are real. attitude is not. |

I've actually never watched the show. Just doesn't appeal to me. I'm more of a History Channel, TLC and Discovery guy. Cop shows, Sci Fi, horror, reality shows and bad boy stuff I tend to surf by.

Not really. If what you are wearing may impact the safety of the group, it is in everyones interest that rides in the group to speak up. If your bike is not running well enough, it is up to those riding near you to say something rather than sit by and hope you don't injure yourself or anyone else. If we are headed to the bar to pick up chicks, it is in my interest to tell you to take the crocs off and change out of the pocket T shirt that has any stains or rock band printed on it.

I ride solo most of the time now.
I certainly won't ride with anyone dumb enough to wear SOA crap. Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com App

I took probably the last ride of the season today. It was 65 out and awesome. I wore my Blessing of The Bikes shirt, nobody called me a 1% er or tried to beat me up. Nobody looked at me in a bad way because I am fat either. I didn't get any ricer looks, nor did anything bad happen to me. One lady looked as though she wondered if I was cold or warm, but we didn't throw down.
Sad Lakota, you would consider someone "dumb" because of what they wear.

Rev, some folks think I'm "dumb" for wearing Harley t-shirts; I just don't give a rat's ass. There are guys who make an example of those who wear SOA crap. There's no need to invite it, and if you don't know about it *you are dumb*. I sure as hell won't ride with you. You feel "sad"? Oh please. Save it. Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle.com App
