I dig the show, and my fiance has a shirt. The only thing I have even remotely resembling anything MC related is a vest with the BLS back patch on it. But it also has a crimson ghost, Pantera, Metallica, COB, Maiden, Alley Chicago, etc. patches on it. I grew up where everyone rocked denim vests decked out with their favorite bands, so that's what I have.
With that said, I won't wear it when I ride. The last thing I need is to be stabbed by a 1%er. Is that an exaggeration? I don't know, but I'd rather not find out. I see a fair share of the dominant club in my area because I live between two of their club houses. All it takes is a probate to decide to make a name for himself, or a patch holder having a sh*tty day to "make an example" out of someone. I'd rather not be that someone. Realistically, would something like that ever happen? Probably not. It seems the majority of clubs in the area show up at BLS shows. I've seen Hell's Angels, Outlaws, and Black Pistons at the shows I've been to. I just don't want to take the chance. |

Really, a thread was started on what people wear.... So if you didn't like the TV show "The Simpsons" and someone had a Simpsons T-Shirt on, would you ask them to take it off to ride with you?? SOA IS A TV SHOW... People know this....

As much as I hate the Simpsons, I could care less about you wearing a Bart shirt on a ride. The question was do you own any swag from this show. Followed by a personal observation about what I noticed and how deep their fascination or obsession went.

I have heard in the past through the grapevine of people being hassled for riding and wearing SOA gear.
I LOVE the show and I have a t-shirt but I'll never wear it on a ride. Not that I think there would be a real problem if I did, I just think in a world where colors are taken ver seriously I wouldn't want anyone to think I was trying to belong to something that wasn't earned.
