Default Seat?

I ride a VT750 and it has the regular stock seat on it. I would like to get a solo seat put on it. Any suggestions? What is the most comfortable?

I invested in a Mustang seat - Vintage Touring and it was well worth the money! The seat comes as a two-piece seat so if you wanted the solo version, you wouldn't have to install the passenger seat (it hooks underneath the driver seat so it's easy to separate the two). I ordered my seat through Dennis Kirk - I shopped around and found the lowest price and then Dennis Kirk beat that price, including tax and shipping. I ended up paying around $375 total for my seat. The seat was also delivered the day after I ordered it (disclaimer: I live in Minnesota and Dennis Kirk is a Minnesota company and about 100 miles from my house). They have a great return policy too if it's not what you are looking for. I added the matching Mustang back rest too.

Default Seat?

My wife had an 07 Aero 750. I removed the passenber pillion by unbolting it. I used one of those chrome bolt covers to cover where the rear seat bolt went (siliconed it on).

I had a wide mustang touring with driver back rest on a Fatboy and it was very comfortable! I may get one for my Shadow but so far the seat is OK!

I've ridden on stock, Mustang, Corbin, and Ultimate, and my top two for comfort are Mustang and Ultimate. The only downside to Ultimate is they are NOT 100% waterproof, so you have to pop on little rain-covers to prevent water from seeping in and soaking the foam. Still, though... very comfortable seats. Corbin seats to me felt like stock (or not even that good) seats.

+1 for Mustang.

Night and day difference compared to stock seat.

I put an Ultimate Seat on last year.

My lazyboy at the cottage could take some serious lessons. But I haven't drifted off yet!

When I was looking for a new seat, Mustang said they couldn't guarantee that the accessories I added for solo riding would mount properly with a Mustang seat. Ultimate seats guaranteed it and I had no problems.
