First bike or first street legal bike?? First motor drive bike was a Bonanza Minibike when I was in 6th grade. Moved up to a XR75 and the rest is history!

First bike I ever RODE was my brother's ex-WWII Harley 45 with suicide clutch (there's one in the H-D museum at the factory in York, PA now). I must have been one hellaceously strong 12-yr-old from throwing hay bales around all day, because that bike fell over innumerable times while riding in the stubble fields of NW Ohio and I had to pick it up by myself.
But the first bike I ever OWNED was a Yamaha DT250 enduro, bought used just after I got out of the Army in '71 and had a few bucks to spare in my civilian pocket. It was succeeded quickly by a brand-new Suzuki TS250 enduro which I immediately rode to the Yucatan beginning my long demise. |

The first bike I had was a 1984 Kawasaki 440 LTD. and I still have it in my garage. 7500 original miles and stills runs like new. Only thing not original is the battery.
