I have 5 0r 6 3/4 HJC and 2 full Shoei s. I think the best bet is to go to a larger dealer and try on a few helmets for fit. I found the full face was too claustrophobic for everyday cruising so mine retired when I stopped racing. I havde not had the opportunity to "test" the HJCs

Ditto on the G-max, at least for my head shape. I went to cycle gear, the bilts didn't cut it for me. I tried on the Shoei RF1000 and it squeezed my jaw area. Maybe i just got lucky but the Gmax 58 I have is more comfortable than the $400 Shoei! Also DOT & Snell approved. I bought a 2nd one on a discontinued sale so now I have one for warm weather and my old one with a double lens shield for anti-fogging for cold weather.
