Now that I'm narrowing down my choice of new saddlebags, I have a questions for VLX owners or anyone else in the know...
My current saddlebags are roughly 10-1/2" wide, 11" high, and about 3" deep, as seen in the pic below. There are two sizes of W&M saddlebags in the style I want for more touring capacity: One is the "compact" size of: 12" Wide, 9.5" High, and 5.5" Deep I know these will fit, but they are only marginally bigger that what I have now. I'd like to order the bigger size, which is: 16" Wide, 11" High, and 6.5" Deep It's the same height as my current ones, so that's gonna be OK, and it has a lot more depth which is fine, so I'm just concerned about the width/length. Is this large size going to look too big for the VLX, like I have a couple of cows strapped to the bike, or am I going to be fine? Normally I'm not very fashion-conscious, but... It's my bike. You understand. Once again...Thanks.

Not sure why it posted the pic twice, but you can get these from Jafrum.com for about $75

I have pretty large River Road bags on my VLX. I want the storage so I don't worry about them looking to large or if anyone else thinks they are too big.
