I paid $500 for my 86 vt1100.. speedo shows 19000 and change but doesn't work so obviously its more than that but after about another $500 is seals, gaskets, sensors, and a rear tire I ride it a lot now...no more leaks or anything and fortunately my 3rd gear is fine as I've heard you can no longer get the parts to fix that...fyi- dude wanted $750 and I wasn't willing to go that high since it had no battery so I couldn't crank it up...I did pay him $50 to deliver to my house...I think if I had two grand I could get a decent shadow 750 around here, three grand definetely, but 500 bucks was my budget for a motorcycle at the time...

$1200 for my 1996 1100 VT ACE. fully loaded with windshield, forward controls and footboards, rear leather bags, Cobra drag pipes and showing 40 + k miles. She runs like a bear and has new rubber. I did need to do a couple of maintenance jobs; carb clean, a new clutch perch and handlebar straightening after the PO took a very low speed drop but no dents, dings other than that. My cost was an additional $12.50 for the perch and a pint of Pinesol.
Deals are out there my friends. Chris |

Again you guys are all teaching a 61 year old patience, I'll keep looking for deals and hopefully be able to brag about my great find soon. I have all winter to find something nice, just need patience. And 1100cc is a step up for me from my '83' 750 shadow.
