Yes.

It's called being in control of my life and not having to prove anything to anyone. If I did react, the other guy has already won.

Ironically, when we most need to heed these words, we are least inclined to listen to them.

I imagine we've all done it at one time or another . . . as CD says, not particularly proud of it but it does happen

Again, it appears my lack of writing skills might be giving the wrong impressions here. Getting flipped off doesn't make me go ballistic. Tickes me off , yes, but not ballistic by any stretch of the means.
I'm glad you cleared that up.

That depends on THE reason. If somebody came up to me in person and got in my face in a threatening manner, trust me it won't matter what the h3ll is said at that point ... it's already a threat and I would act upon it accordingly with the protection of my own life and/or my loved ones lives at stake.

But, we are discussing about asserting the action toward a driver who may have endangered our life while riding a motorcycle. Again, if the cager made a mistake or an error in judgement and knows it either as a result of the action or a sign from the biker, it should not elevate beyond that point and everyone should just carry on. There is absolutely NO reason for the caged driver to pursue inflicting bodily harm on the rider as a result of him demonstrating a visual sign of his being upset with the situation caused by the driver. NONE (.) As is the same after the rider gives the finger to the driver; the situation should stop there ... The rider has the driver's attention and the rider now feels better in bringing to the drivers attention.

Dad taught me this at a very young age: Words are minimal; physical becomes criminal.

The only people that get a pass from me have a little red or blue DoD sticker on their windshield.
Here is my statement in question: "Brush it off and move on; nobody deserves harm from an otherwise avoided accident ESPECIALLY on a scoot." My use of the word 'especially' is in favor of the smaller and more vulnerable vehicle with a life or two aboard. A motorcycle vs. a car or SUV ... we know who wins in an accident, or how we're discussing it for the most part here, an incident.

I have no idea where you went with the rest of your statement above after the first sentence.

That about sums up every individual living here on Earth. Except me ... I'm not from this planet.

Why not? If you let others pull your emotional strings you are nothing more than their puppet.

If you are physically attacked, that's different. Even children know this: "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."
