BOTH parties need to expect a split second reaction.
Seems to me that you need some serious anger management if the finger causes you to go ballistic.

I've never done that to anyone yet.

I have to agree. Giving the finger is no different than words; there's no physical harm other than the decision by the recipient to pursue it from there. Nobody goes to jail or dies just from "words". Brush it off and move on; nobody deserves harm from an otherwise avoided accident ESPECIALLY on a scoot.

Plenty of "I'll kick his ass" posturing (or is it posing?) here. Why does the image of a puffer fish flash before my eyes?

Anybody who would incur a life-altering felony conviction for assault, vehicular or other, because of a perceived digital insult is probably the same kind of person who would burn their house down because they saw a mouse in the attic -- "I'll show that %$@#*& mouse!"

At least some road ragers show reasonable judgement. A couple of years ago a guy in this little town shot and killed another motorist for cutting him off or some other minor infraction. But thankfully he paid his debt to society immediately, blowing his own brains out when he realized that he had ruined his own life as well.

I wish more of these unstable people would do that BEFORE harming anyone else. Kind of a public service thing.

Again, it appears my lack of writing skills might be giving the wrong impressions here. Getting flipped off doesn't make me go ballistic. Tickes me off , yes, but not ballistic by any stretch of the means. Aced It, I don't get it. Are you saying you would let someone come up to you, for whatever reason, and say "F" YOU" to your face and let them walk away???? No friggin' way!!! I would never do that to someone, nor would I ever let someone do that to me. I see where you say "ESPECIALLY on a scoot" and I don''t get that part either. Buying my first bike, no matter what brand it was, didn't enter me into any brotherhood or community. Why would I feel a loyalty or kinship to some person just because they are astride a two wheeled vehicle or treat them any differently than I would anyone else? The only people that get a pass from me have a little red or blue DoD sticker on their windshield.
I think, again, this just highlights the difference in attitudes throughout the various regions of the US and the difference in cultures based on backgrounds and environments and events different people have lived through.

I'm late! Everyone has already said everything. And that being said...I'll say...throwing stuff at cars is stupid.

I commute on the highway everyday and yeah cages tailgate, squeeze me out of lanes, cut me off and on and on and on. Phfffffffffft. It happens and will always happen.

Yep! I've flipped a few off in my day. Normally, if I have their attention, I just shake my head.

Like some motorcycle cop said on here one time..."Anytime a motorcycle and a car are in an accident...It's the biker's fault." I had to think about that for a while but...it has some truth to it. WE are the ones who are vulnerable. WE are the ones that should be paying serious attention. WE are the ones who need to anticipate every move or possible move of the vehicles around us. Certainly...everyone on the road SHOULD be paying attention but...they're not. So...WE have to take on the responsibility of how everyone else drives. Why? Because it's OUR lives that are on the line.

I'm still seeing rage here and it's not worth it believe me. listen to "ACED IT" I commented earlier and left lots of details out and again i'm really not proud of what I did. I had a taxi cut me off real bad and I chased him down, I was pissed to say the least!! I cut him off a block later and stopped him in the middle of the road (could have been killed right there). I grabbed him through his window and popped him a few times. My luck there was a cop on the other side of the street using radar who saw the whole thing. Needless to say I left with him!! Not a pleasant experience!! I had charges laid and had to go to court.1-assalt, 2-driving without paying due care and attention to the road, needless to say he never saw what just happened to me. I went to court figured I was going to jail for the assault. !!!!GOT LUCKY!!! the cop and cab driver never showed up!! The judge wasn't pleased I got off and he gave me a stern warning!!! now like Aced it I chalk it up to people not paying attention or human error and let it go. You/we can't afford road rage it's not worth it!!

Allow me to say something I have learned (The hard way!), When you get into an anger situation from someone elses stupidity, do youself a favor. Get the hell off the road, take a ten or fifteen minute break! WHY? Because in your state of anger, EVERYTHING from that moment on for a few to several minutes will escalate that anger and you will be putting yourself into an extreme danger mode! Take the time to cool off, then proceed with caution. You will be saving yourself from YOU!
