I rode motorcycles for several years before going the "cage" route. I remember reading the British Police Motorcycle Riders Guide at age 16. Some great advice in there. Namely; Look through turns and not at the road in front of you and the classic "Life saver", ALWAYS check over your shoulder before making a lane change or manouver. I carry those words of wisdom with me to this day whether I'm on my bike or driving my behemoth Range Rover. Those blind spots in your mirrors are a potential disaster no matter what you ride or drive.

Aced it and puffinator are right here. Quick story. Driving on a two way that's four lanes wide total with my wife in the passenger seat of our cage. I hit the brakes pretty hard. She looks at me like I did something wrong until she sees that a car had gunned it out of a side road to get into our lane, the second lane over to avoid the 18 wheeler that nearly hit him in the first lane. I saw that car long before I was blind to it because of the semi. I reacted based on what I thought he might do. My wife thanked me for my anticipation. I simply replied, I ride and we pay attention.
