Picked up a 03 750 ace last week. It had sat for around 14 months and the guy i got it from didn't want to mess with getting it running. I cleaned it up a bit, cleaned the carbs and replaced a plug wire. Traded a rifle for it straight across. Had about $500 in the rifle. So i think i got a good deal. It has 16,400 miles on it.
The turn signal button is sticky and needs cleaned. I will save that for when i replace the bars. Im wanting to go bobber style with drag bars, new bobbed rear fender, lower 2.5 in in back, replace front fender (ordered a sportster front fender should be here tomorrow)

If the sportster fender doesn't fit, a spirit might. The spirit rear shocks might be more your look as well, unless you go with hardtail braces.
For the stock components you might put them up in the for sale forum, or on ebay. Shame to let those shiny pieces go to waste.
