Default Ace tourer exhaust on Ace

Would the exhaust off of an ACE tourer bolt right to a regular 1100 ACE?

Looking at pictures, I'd guess that mating the pipes to the engine will work. There will probably be real trouble getting the Tourer parts to mate with the ACE bracket (18455-MAH-000). I don't know how the T connects to the frame but that bracket was NOT used on the T.

single or dual pin would not be a consideration in this... the engines are IDENTICAL... the only difference is internal. FYI..

Default Tourer exhaust

The Ace 1100T OEM mufflers bolt to brackets (2ea side) under the saddlebag supports (same with the Vance and Hines dual Bagger exhaust for this bike). Also unless foot pegs/controls are the same, you could run into clearance problems with the way the exhaust pipes route from the engine to the mufflers..

Not sure how you would mount the mufflers w/o the hard bag support frames, but suppose anything possible if someone good at fabricating.

I guess I have a different question then. Are exhausts from same year 1100 bikes interchangeable except the tourer? such as switching the exhaust from a spirit to an ACE or Sabre. I ask this because i don't like the gap between the two pipes on my 99 ace and it seems like all the aftermarket ones for the ace have that gap. but i see other models have some aftermarket exhaust systems without the gap.

That ACE bracket is probably driving the aftermarket designs listed for the bike. I'm sure that others would fit with something different for attachment points. That bracket was used on the ACE, Spirit and (I think) Aero during the late 1990s so all of them would show the same aftermarket pipes.

Looking at the fiche files (I use ronayers.com.) for 1999, there is not much way to tell if the swap you want to do would work but you can find the parts you need by working through all the images. The image for the VT1100T does not show brackets but if you could get your ACE next to a Tourer I'm sure you could figure everything out.
