Either way, that just isn't going to buff out.

I agree it looks as if his pannier hit the bollard and pulled the bike to the left, he compensated by pulling to the right and didn't have enough room to do anything..

An iris pucker moment.

John.

I agree, except for the stuntman part. Feet first onto the deck of a boat? Maybe they do stunts differently where that was filmed.

That looked painful.

He landed more on his side and didn't take the impact in one area. Normally, you wouldn't have your head at the end of a roll, but the helmet made it feasible. We aren't shown the deck, but I'm sure it was padded for the sake of the show. It looks terrible but I think the sound of the bike crashing makes it seem worse than the fall.

Fourth time I've seen this today, and it's still funny.

I saw a translated description on another version that said he's a journalist and does a lot of riding/test drive segments. So it is for tv, but I don't think he intended to fall, he just did a good job of bailing and not ending up under the bike.

Either way, ouch.

Here is why he was being filmed in the first place.

Motorcycle journalist crashes on dock, falls 10-plus feet into sailboat

So much for "quick release" bags.
