Everyone needs a motivation to motivate right?

Anyhow, most of the folks here are really cool and this place is an awesome resource.

There is ALWAYS a self anointed wannabee moderator forum cop who "decides when threads "should end". who shouts "do a search" but then gets annoyed when an old thread is raised from the dead. Who always has to have the last word and final opinion before asking for the thread to be closed.

Every forum I am a member of has such people. Best thing is to understand who they are and avoid sparring. I would never claim a thread has run it's course as I don't know who would want to voice their opinion yet to come, or ask someone do do a search.

These forums remind me of my old Home Recording/Electronic Musician magazine subscriptions.
After awhile you realize are just reading the same subjects over and over again. So you cancel them awhile and resubscribe only to find the same. It is what it is.

Helmets, Harleys, who rides more, what is a "real biker" Loud pipes, It is what it is. Always entertaining. Even reading the "forum cops" chime in..

Is the OP a Troll?

OP - come out where ever you are!
I think yes. And I think the OP was trying to angle toward the Harley / poser /garage king / trailer queen negative stereotype thingy.

It worked to some degree....there's always someone to fall for that junk.

Funny you mention that, as that's the biz I'm in (recording) and I know exactly what you mean. The only difference between now and 15 years ago is that most of the ads are for plug-in software now. Same mic placement articles, same basic EQ and comp guides.

There is no new thing, just constant repackaging.

Hey, PA Dave. I ride 896 regularly and can't imagine riding a scooter from Lancaster to Newark in the rain. Undoubtedly the hormones!

I had a buddy who rode his Sportster from Toronto, Canada to Tampa, Florida to see his girlfriend. I guess it worked, because she married him.

My son rode his Sportster (at that time) from Kansas to San Jose, California, with his girlfriend on the back.

I think hormones can make you do things you might never ordinarily do.

I put 7k miles in on a sport bike this year. 40 miles/day commute and usually a few hundred on Saturday and Sunday group rides. Didn't get my shadow till the end of the season. Will probably put a lot more miles on the shadow next year
