Has the OP posted since opening the thread? What's up with people posting threads like this and not actively participating in their own conversation?

Is the OP a Troll?

OP - come out where ever you are!

Default New to the biker world.

Bought my bike last year and ride it every weekend. Many of my Harley friends spend too much time cleaning their bikes instead of riding them. I feel Honda riders put on more mile. What does everyone else think?

The thought police probably shut him down. That's a strange thing I'm finding about this forum. Some people will go into threads and tell others to stop talking about something (especially if they already failed to articulate their perspective in that very thread). The SOA thread, Toy Run thread, etc. Those threads were peacible without those people. What happened to staying out of other people's business, especially if it's a subject that upsets you?
Anyhow, most of the folks here are really cool and this place is an awesome resource.

The type of bike I ride has little bearing on the amount of riding I do. I think the weather has a much larger influance in my area. I ride when I can the bike wouldn't change that much, I don't think.

I don't think brand affects how you ride. I have a Shadow 600 and ride more than most people on this forum. I get anywhere from 10-12k a year. There's a few on here that do about what I do, and some that do it far more than I.

If I were to put ANY reasoning into why I put so many miles on the bike, it's because it's my only vehicle. So anytime I want to go anywhere, it's miles on the bike. I know a Harley rider that puts on just as many miles as I do, he just splits it up into two Harleys.

So if you rode a Harley, do you think you would put more miles on your bike?
