Thanks for the heads-up. It does look kinda cheesy.

I don't know what type of riding you do but if you like the look of no shield get a Trigger Lock Mounting kit. that way you can remove it in town speeds under 40 mph. IMO at 40 the shield dose nothing. I hate the look of it on my bike but wont go on freeway or longer rides with out it.

Know just how you feel. Now if I go over two days without riding I get really grumpy. Buying the bike was a life changing event.

Great, thanks for the link to the video. That makes it real simple.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm with you, I much prefer the look of no windshield but would want one for long rides.

I dislike the buffeting from a windshield but I do use a full face helmet which mitigates the need for one. First thing I did when I got my Shadow 1100 Ace was remove the shield. It's sitting in my shop if anyone wants it. Clear upper, opaque blue lower. It's 21" tall from the top of the head lamp and 28" overall. I believe it's by Cobra and I have the chrome brackets etc. Shipping will be extortionate butfree to a good home

Chris.

Chris, thanks for the offer. I think I'm gonna get a short quick-disconnect one. I haven't experienced the buffeting from a windshield yet so we'll see how long it stays on or maybe add some lowers to help.
