Duke is the pure essence of a biker. "It's the ride man. It's the ride! WOOF!"

Bought the bike for flag lines. Ended up riding it constantly. Kind of grew on me.

More pleasure than daily commute...mostly because I only have an 8 mile ride to work. That just isn't enough riding.

Always wanted to learn to ride. Got permission from my wife last year on my 50th birthday, took the safe riding course the next week and bought my first bike, 2002 750 Shadow Spirit the week after.

Ride every weekend since and can't believe how much fun it is to ride. Love to just head out and go either north or south on two lane roads with no place in mind for a few hours.

I've been riding around my neighborhood until I take my safe riding course. I started riding for pleasure, I like the solitary. I'm looking forward to long rides on back country roads.

Similar story. Wife agreed to let me take the MSF course a couple of months prior to my 44th birthday. Took it and loved it. Found a fixer-upper 2001 Shadow ACE that the folks on this board have been phenomenal at helping me get running. I've put 4k miles on it since April! Definitely hooked.

I was already cool but added the bike to the mix to kick it up a notch.

Nothing will help that old man be cool unless the temps drop in Florida.

I'm a new rider, I got my license September 6th. I also have a 3 yr old foster daughter and limited access to baby sitting so my husband and I have to take turns. I'd say I probably have less than 12 hours drive time under my belt....dreaming for the day it can be my daily driver!
