Evidently, according to many of the posters in this thread, things have not changed for many here. With the attitudes here, it is amazing that most of you even have licenses anymore.

I was raised to be a man and take responsibility for my errors, and to respect the laws and those empowered to enforce them. Obviously the OP and several others here were not raised to those standards.
Manning up is a two way street..

Sorry I simply do not respect all laws, many laws are just an excuse to fill the states coffers

Those who are empowered to enforce them are human, I don't respect someone simply because they have a badge, respect is earned. Overall I think most LEOs are basically good folk doing their best to do their job, some.. are not.

So the officer raised his voice - BIG DEAL - the contributing factors of a busy highway and a helmet give approval for that alone - AND - we don't know if he was yelling as defined by anger, scolding, or simply to be heard above the surroundings. So I'm 100% on the side that the OP man-up to the punishment of paying the ticket and cease pursuing reprimanding of the officer.
I can only work with the info supplied by the OP, and as you already know I have altered my view a tad since more info has come out.

Let it go. It's really not worth your time arguing with law enforcement unless it's a case of brutality etc. Pay the fine and move on with your life.

I usually find the officer doesn't have his training certificates, or the speed monitoring device was not calibrated, or they used pacing and the odometer does not have a calibration record, or they have speed limits without traffic studies.

This case will be dealt the same way. Documents have already been requested under the TX Open Records Act. I'll let you know how this turns out.
This basically says it all. This OP obviously doesn't have any respect for the laws of the road and makes a habit of getting tickets, although I think he is full of crap about beating them. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this OP is only trying to get sympathy for being a pathetic piece of crap that thinks he should be able to do whatever he wants with no responsibility for his actions.

wow..lots of assumptions for someone who also was not there.

I got news for you. most people can beat a ticket with regularity if they put in the effort.

Not all tickets are justified

He is getting no sympathy ( at least not from me ) but rather a rational look from both sides

and exactly why does fighting something one thinks is unjust ( whether they be right or wrong ) make them a piece of crap?

Guys, I never stated to the Police Dept or in this forum that I wanted a free pass. And, I don't see where I state conflicting information, if anything the information posted by me has been piecemeal. This was purposely done to see the responses.

A strategy to use in court, people.

Now there is a mature statement.

Just so I'm clear, attacking an individual member (as opposed to his argument) and calling him a piece of sh!t makes you a better person than someone trying to stand up for himself against the law?

The quality of people this forum has been attracting lately has gone right down the drain...
