No more cruisers for me, My old back is crying for a bike with a standard ride.
Wow. We couldn't be more different. Now that I've bought the FX (definitely a cruiser), I found that I can do ~400 miles per day pain-free, and my back is so bad I could barely walk 3 years ago.

I'm thinking that it's all in what an individual's needs are. As far as what *I* need, the bike handles like a dream; and, with six forward speeds and 1800 cc, it's got more power than I'll ever want to use.

I have yet to put it in 6th gear. And I sure am comfortable; first thing I noticed was the seat--it's stock, and I don't need to swap it out.

Of course, YMMV.

If he's really happy with a VLX them vibration might not be a concern. I know my VLX sure vibrates on the highway.

Probably stay with what we have for a while, but interested in seeing the new Wing F6B and the new CB1100.

We trudge on.

It seems these are the only threads I bother to respond to any more.

Although I have stopped getting my hopes up after the last few points of interest, I have started corresponding with a fellow about an '03 ZX6R/636.
We'll see what actually happens though.

Nothing goes wrong with the Honda (or the Harley, but it's new); so I don't ever have anything to say about mechanical issues--don't have them.

I left out a bike that I also want to check out, even though it's not a cruiser. This just screams "old school" to me!
