Got a new ride!!
Hey guys haven't been on here in a looong time, but i got me a new ride!! Just scored a 04 shadow spirit 1100 with only 11000 miles on her!! thought id share a pic with u and ask your opinion on future mods i can do to make her sexier. would love to run some 12" apes eventually. any body put apes on there 1100. how much rise can u go with stock cables?

Good luck with the new scoot. I would also love to see apes on it cause that's something I'm thinking of doing next year

I increased the length of my stock riser by a couple of inches.
You have to reroute the cables to do it. Here's a picture comparing my stock riser with my taller riser. Stock buckhorn bars)  Any more than that will require longer cables, wires and brake line Here is a side view.

Nice bike, loved my 1100, wish I could have convinced the wife I needed two machines! Enjoy and ride safe.

Looks pretty darn nice as is. If you weren't wanting to go with apes, I'd say toss a small, dark tinted, cafe/bullet faring on it.
 Sorry, but the SOA bike was the quickest image to grab to illustrate.
