Default Mounting options for custom rear fender

Can anyone give me suggestions on how they mounted their after market rear fender?? I don't want to spend $350 on a blue collar bobber fender but in no good at fabrication. Include pics if you have them. It's for my 97 shadow 750 c2.

well what i would do. take an L bracket made of steel, bolt one ind to the swingarm and bolt the other end to the inside of the fender. take some steel rods or anything of your choice, bend to clear the tire and either find someone to weld it to the swingarm to make a rear support brace or im sure we could think of something other than welding
