Default Thanks Shadow folk! I'm out

Well, I finally picked up a replacement for my Shadow. My wife and I drove out Saturday to pick up a '90 CBR1000F. We both love it, I finally have something that doesn't hurt my back or my ass (and it's tall enough for me!) and she's comfy and high up on the back seat. She's happy she can finally see over my helmet

Rather than try to unload my 1100 now though I'm thinking of holding onto it until March when people have those tax refunds burning a hole in their pockets. (Although if anyone here is interested feel free to hit me up, I would still help out a forum member!) As good a bike as it's been we were both ready for something else and the CBR is just the ticket.

I know riding something other than a Shadow doesn't have to keep me away but the CBR forum reminds me a lot of this place: it really is a gem among a swamp of horrible internet forums. I'm looking forward to meeting some good folk and learning about a new ride.

Obligatory pic:

Adios and we'll all meet up a little farther down the line!

Did you say that was a 90model? Wow it in great shape for a 23 y.o. bike.
I would love to try out a sport tourer one time to see if its right for me.
Hope you enjoy many miles on her(it).

That's a great looking bike; I'd probably kill myself on something like that.
Your ACE is good looking too, won't be hard to sell it come springtime.
Hope you reconsider leaving the forum. I really enjoyed our ride down to Columbus..
and really regret not going for that beer at the Cannon Brew Pub with you, especially now that
I made a trip there and sampled some of their fine work!

Hey Gary! Glad you made it to Cannon, they have a good crew there. I spoke with their brewer and killed a few good hours of riding time for sure I think he liked someone coming in off the street and dorking out on beer

We still have a place for you whenever you make it up to Chicago, stay in touch.

EDIT: oh and man do I have a BBQ joint to take you to! One just opened up in Gary that is un-freakin-believable! That alone may get you back up north.

That looks fun.
I know that my back wouldn't handle the forward lean....

Sounds like a plan! pm me your cell, as I've lost it. I will get up there, if not for the convention definitely for the bbq!
