Hi guys,
Is there an LED brake light available for an 1100 Spirit that is meant for the bike and fits into the lens cover? I had one on my KLR 650 that just used the screw in base for the old regular bulb – simple install but nice and bright. Even flashed 3 times when the brakes first applied. I’m looking for something similar for my Shadow. Thank you. |

I like that. I looked up my bike on ebay:
Shadow Ace VT750 C Deluxe 98 02 LEDs Brake Taillight Turn Signal Light Clear | eBay But won't buy from THIS seller, look at his own review: Notice: 1)This is Aftermarket Item (Non-OEM Product) 2)Installation Instruction and Hardware ARE NOT INCLUDE 3)THIS Item Wire need to Fix to USE, Light Cover Not as Same as Original Cover 4)PLEASE Don't expect / assume this is a Quality Item, Buy OEM item if you want to get quality product.

I think you'd need more than just the unit to get something like that working. Wiring up each section, etc. It can get a little bit simpler with the use of one of these:
Universal Run-Turn-Brake Controller | Lighting | Küryakyn But that wouldn't help in actually changing the color from red/yellow. You'd need to run different wires up from your existing signals. Verify legal placements for your respective state. |

I got an idea (will try it now that the roads are covered with snow here)
I've got an oblong LED truck tail light that I'm going to cut open and remove the inside LED board to install in my '96 Spirit lense. It looks like it'll fit perfect. I already have LED turn sginals, so it should look better with an LED tail/brake light to complete the package. I figure I can solder the wires to an old bulb (after removing the glass) and screw it right into the stock socket. Should work. I've seen some of the afer market LED tailights with the intigraded signal lights in them and they are not very safe during daylight hours in my opinion. Alot of sport bike riders have them here and they're actually kinda dangerous (not bright enough amber signals) PD
