i have a 1999 shadow ace deluxe and would like to make the exhause louder , my question is ........is there a easy to take the baffles out or can they even be taken out without ruining my factory pipes.i really like the looks of them because they are in perfect condition and not ready to spend a lot to replace.

I removed the resonators from my exhaust (Hole Saw Modification). It literally took five minutes and only cost me the price of a two-inch hole saw. I did not have to rejet for this mod.
Here is a link to a YouTube video . . . it's not an ACE but at least it will give you some ideas.

Excellent video, should take a lot of "fear" out of completing the job for first timers.

I have an 03 750 Spirit. I might break down and do this. I already did it on my Yami....made a big difference.

in the video he mentioned in passing about perhaps doing just one of the pipes. Has anyone tried that? I'm wondering if doing both would just make it too loud but am worried doing just one could have an adverse effect on performance. It is definitely one of those no turning back mods
