Mileage means almost nothing.
Anyone can get on the Slab and knock out 400 to 600 mile days. This isn't what I count as good riding experience. Time spent in the saddle over various conditions and motorcycles is what makes it a good year for me. The things I've seen and the people I've met.....

Nascar racers do 500 miles in an afternoon, but what do they see? You did 12K miles in seven months. Where did you go? What did you see. Take pictures and show/tell us about it. If your thing is just burning gas and staring out over the bars, that's fine but it's not for me. While I do sometimes ride just for the ride, mostly I want to go places and see/do things. In over 40some years of riding, I can't even imagine how many miles I've gone on dozens of motorcycles, and I don't care. The ride that matters most to me is the next one.

So, I think this is a good thread. I didn’t record my mileage last year but I did wear out two rear tires and one front so I’ll guess I did 16,000 to 18,000 miles. Right now I’m sitting at 33,452 miles, less than a quarter tank of gas, my rear tire is almost shot and I’m in need of an oil change. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

. . . you get "mileage credit" and appreciation for sharing many of those miles, as well as your experience and knowledge. Thank you from a rider that would have been sitting in front of the computer, dreaming. GadgetBandit

I was surprised: I ended up with 6825 miles last year. I thought I did a lot more, but even though I went on a lot of trips and rides last year, they were mostly in the surrounding region, not really far and away. The rest was fun rides and commuting.
So this year... Starting mileage is 24855. So many roads... ...and plans....I have plans.
