Hey Everyone,
Got a bunch of stuff and installed them on the bike so I figured sharing a picture would be the right thing to do. Items installed: Mustang Seat Cobra Sissy Bar Cobra Swept Passenger Floorboards Cobra StreetRod Slashdown Exhaust Mustang Seat is a must. Position puts you a little higher and in my opinion no back rest is needed for the driver. Night and day better than the stock seat on all aspects (comfort, position, looks) It's like having a new bike that is perfect for me Height 5'11". The passenger seat improvement along with the sissy bar and floorboards make my wife extremely happy. I will probably have to tell her I want to ride alone now when I feel like it because she will always want to go. Exhaust wasn't too bad, a little overwhelming when I opened everything and saw the instructions were not very good. No pictures or details on removing the stock exhaust or putting the new one on. Luckily for me I could figure everything out. Overall I was very impressed with the quality of everything I ordered and ease of install made these a must. The exhaust took by far the longest but you can get it done in a couple hours. Take your time and do it right the first time. One question for those who have changed out their exhaust, I was shocked to see no gaskets for the header pipes, has anyone else seen that? I am wondering if the dealer may have changed out the exhaust on the showroom floor and didn't install them when they put the stock pipes back on. They had some cobra pipes on one of the other bikes at the dealer. |

Very nice additions . . . I love my Mustang seat and bought a matching Mustang backrest pad.
Usually with exhaust there are crush washers/gaskets that you need to replace each time the exhaust is removed. They are a "One and Done" deal.

Thanks everyone...I inspected everything really careful and it was bare metal on the stock pipes and the outlets. Just something I noticed on the gaskets.
DVRMN...I really like that backrest. I will probably get some miles on the one that came with the setup. Once its needed I will definitely get the matching backrest to complete. |

Have you considered extensions for the passenger floorboards?
Kuryakyn makes some chromy 4" extensions, I'd like to try on my Phantom to make it more comfortable for the better half. Sent from my Motorcycle iPad app |

The swept floorboards stick out pretty far or do you mean extensions to make them lower and out relative to the seat? 4 inches seems like it would be way to far out, but if you already have floorboards and they aren't out enough it wouldn't hurt to try. With the mustang seat putting her up higher the floorboards worked out perfect without any additional stuff. Plus for me I don't care for a lot of chrome. Just the side mirrors and exhaust tips is plenty. As soon as the mirrors show some age they will be replaced.

Looks great !! My Phantom is still stock and sitting in the shed. I have a wishlist but right now thats just what it is. Did the exhaust change the sound of the bike much ? I like the fact that the factory exhaust it's not that loud, I know I know Loud pipes save lives or so they say.
